The heating element is buried deep in the chassis, so one broken tube means a total overhaul. We did things differently. Fighting Water and Heat Here’s the tricky part: waterproofing. You want a tight seal to keep the rain out, but if you seal it too tight, the electronics cook themselves. We solved this with IP-rated gaskets around the module interface. We also gave the quartz tubes some breathing room. They sit in heat-resistant mounts that let the glass shift and expand as it heats up. If the tube can’t move, it snaps. Simple as that. The Honest Trade-off Look, no design is perfect. By making things modular, we added more connection points. In the world of electricity, more connectors can mean more places for things to go wrong if you’re sloppy. To fix that, we used heavy-duty, vibration-resistant clips. Just make sure you hear that “snap” during installation. If they aren’t seated tight, you’ll deal with arcing at the terminals, and nobody wants that. We build these things for the long haul.
