
Stop Fighting Bathroom Mold (And Just Dry the Room)
Most of us think of bathroom heaters as a way to stop shivering while we get dressed. But we look at it differently. We didn’t just want to make the room warm; we wanted to kill the dampness that lets mold move in.
How it actually works
Here is the thing: regular heaters just warm up the air. That’s fine, but it doesn’t really do much for the water hiding in your grout or those silicone seals around the tub. Our infrared lamps are different. They send out waves that soak right into the surfaces. When those waves hit the water trapped in your tiles, they basically shake the water molecules until they evaporate. You aren’t just heating the air. You’re pushing the moisture out of the walls before the mold spores even have a chance to settle in.
Built for the steam
Bathrooms are a nightmare for electronics. Steam gets everywhere. To stop them from frying, we use high-grade quartz glass and tightly sealed terminals. If a seal leaks, the filament is toast. Simple as that. We also made sure the heat is directional. Instead of wasting energy heating up the ceiling, the heat goes exactly where it needs to—the floors and walls. It creates a little bubble of dry air right where you need it.
A few things to keep in mind
There are a couple of trade-offs. Since these lamps pack a lot of power into a small space, you’ll want to make sure your wiring can handle the draw so you aren’t tripping your breaker every morning. Also, it feels different than a fan heater. You’ll feel the warmth on your skin the second you turn it on, but it takes a bit longer for the actual air in the room to feel warm. The best way to use them? Just let them run for about 15 minutes after you hop out of the shower. It clears out the surface moisture and keeps everything crisp and dry.
